Outside

Our students spend about half of their waking hours at school. It is critical that we support and encourage them to move more and sit less throughout the day – before, during and after school.

As an active school we encourage physical activity through a whole school approach that goes beyond traditional physical education and sport to promote physical activity at every opportunity.

We are committed to promoting physical activity through curriculum, general school life and the local community, and supporting every child to become physically literate and active for life.

The school has extensive play areas with two large ovals and asphalt areas, with new basketball backboards and rings, suitable for assorted games. The large modern playground area offers the students a wide choice of playground options. The children also have a large sandpit and a mud kitchen, both are always popular for creative play. We also offer quiet areas for board games, reading and craft activities.

We believe that playground markings are more than just decorations—they are a vital part of every schoolyard. Vibrant designs around the school create spaces where children can play, learn, and grow.

Our recently installed bike track is a favourite for all. Every child has a sparkling new bike allocated to them Whether the students are walking, running, or riding on the track they are always doing so with a big smile on their faces.
