Our History

In 1857 Common School No. 63, Branxholme opened with less than 20 students in the Church of England grounds (immediately north of the present school). In 1877 the Branxholme School No. 1978 was established on its current site. Wallacedale North opened in 1900 and operated on this site until 1993. Wallacedale North Primary School then amalgamated with Branxholme Primary School to become Branxholme-Wallacedale Community School with a new school number of 5377. The original hand-made brick section is still part of the current school.
