I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school community, as well as future families, and our wider community members. I have been the proud Principal of Branxholme Wallacedale Community School (BWCS) since 2012 and love what we achieve in the best interest of our students, families, and the broader Branxholme community.
Being a mother of three children myself, I understand the importance of selecting the ‘right fit’ school for your children. The wellbeing of all our students, staff, families, and community are at the forefront of all decisions made at BWCS. Education is a lifelong passion of mine, and I ensure I am up to date with all current initiatives and contemporary leading, learning, and teaching research.
Staff, School Council Members, and the whole school parent/guardian body are included in our decision-making and plans for the future. It is important that we walk hand in hand on this journey.
Our classroom teaching is enhanced by the specialist programs: Kitchen Garden, The Arts, PE, Wellbeing, and Science.
We have three social media outlets that support our communication with the wider community and current families. Our website provides general information about our school and our direction for learning and teaching. We have a Facebook page which is used to give up-to-date pictures and information about what is going on day to day in our school. We use the uEducateUs app as our main source for information sharing and teacher communication. Monthly newsletters are sent home as a hard copy and posted on our Facebook page.
If you would like to visit our school, I encourage you to book a tour and see for yourself what we are about. You will see our facilities, programmes being taught, and the educational opportunities we offer.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
Miss Nat
